We do not provide the support by phone. And most shareware companies do the same.
But I don’t like two optiosn which I see on some sites:
- toll-free phone number included but in bold font you see “Technical or customer support is NOT AVAILABLE at these numbers”
- vendor live in some “third world” country but postal address is in USA or Canada (virtual office for small monthly fee with fax and post mail forwarding)
Why you share your phone if customer can’t call for you? Do you accept the calls from Bill Gates only? Just hide the phone number and don’t publish on site.
What is an advantage in such “american” address if you live in another time zone on another part of world?
